Loopy quilting with "Love" and a heart ~
Summer is finally here for Mrs. Davis the teacher! We leave tomorrow for 3 weeks in Nebraska to visit with Papa -Larry's Dad- between Larry's next semester of school and the finish of this one. Larry is in the 4.0 for his grades, btw, and I'm so very proud of him!
I have been very slow to post, such a pokey thing to do! This is the most recent finish to share, it's for Ginny B's grandson, born yesterday. Quilted with loops, words, hearts, and love ~
the back piano key border with lambs added
On my last post, I shared some stars made from a charm square swap in my quilt class.
Well, with any spare sewing minute this is what is what's happening with those:
Next up for this one is a border, and I'm planning a pieced one ~
I hope you are all doing well, I do not know how much keeping up with others will happen with only an ipad, but I'm hopin' to try. I am missing my friends in the quilty web world! Hugs to you all ~
"Know ye that the LORD He is God: it is He that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise: be thankful unto Him, and bless His name.

ReplyDeleteLove your little lamb quilt!! And the stars are beautiful, too. So glad you have the summer to enjoy--that is certainly a perk of teaching. Enjoy your trip and your summer, Pokey!! Carol
ReplyDeleteHave fun, love the lambs...
ReplyDeleteHi Pokey! I know you're away, but I had to comment. I've been terribly remiss about reading blogs these past many weeks. Life can get so darned full, even when you're retired! That's what happens when I have too many opportunities to have quilting fun! Your projects are great. What an adorable baby quilt, and the star blocks are wonderful. I hope you're enjoying your time away from home, and basking in summer days spent with family.
ReplyDeleteYour quilts are so lovely! :)
ReplyDeleteGreetings from Finland!
Hugs, Ulla
Oh Pokey girl, I have missed you and your sweet bubbly self! Blogging was put on the back burner for awhile so I just went through this years posts. From Larry attending the Art Institute, to the awesome school trip to the ocean, to Jesse's heart (which was SO touching), to coding all the school books (2500? Amazing! Would love for my kids to be in your classroom!!), to all the beautiful quilts that you make. I hope you are enjoying your summer break, we started back to school this week. I've missed you girl, hope all is well!
ReplyDeletePS.. love the sheep quilt... ADORABLE!!
Just stopping in to say hi and to see what you have been up to! I been rather slow in blogging the last several months too! Hope your summer is going well? The sheep quilt is adorable! Love your patriotic stars!
