I love sewing!
Debi's Modern Rectangles
I wanted to share the latest two finishes for this week- love the week home from school! First was Debi's Modern Rectangles Quilt for her granddaughter. It was stitched with a horizontal loopy stitch, like a water motion.
I failed to get a good picture.
Next up was this Poppies quilt by Kathy, oo-oh, I wanted to keep this one! I love poppies and red is my favorite color. M-m-m-m, yummy!
Kathy backed it with a rich blue plaid. Her thread is blue variegated, perfect ~
We had a charm swap in our quilt class this week, the theme was patriotic design. Here's what's happening with my blocks ~
On a personal note, dd Lydia is in the hospital due to an infection that she didn't get taken care of soon enough. She is healing slowly. We would appreciate your prayers. Her hospital is 25 miles away, and it looks like rehab will be even further away.
"Trust in Him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before Him: God is a refuge for us. Selah." Psalms 62:8
sigh.
Love the photos of the quilts and blocks.
ReplyDeleteHope your dd is well soon

Best wishes to your daughter for a speedy recovery!
Hey Pokey...the quilts are gorgeous...especially the poppy one. I have a flimsie waiting (and waiting) to be quilted with all the fabrics in that collection. I should get at that. Love what you're doing with the patriotic blocks! Take care, Jacque.
ReplyDeletePraying that your daughter heals quickly. So sorry. The quilts are amazing. I too love the poppies!

ReplyDeleteI hope your daughter is out of the hospital and has a full recovery soon. There's a lot of quilty goodness here to see! Love your patriotic blocks, and both quilts are beautiful! I had seen that poppy print in internet quilt shops but didn't realize the scale was so large. That is a perfect pattern to showcase it.
ReplyDeleteI hope your dd is well on her way to being well! Poor thing!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing two such lovely quilts! Will keep Lydia in my thoughts.
