A Few Pics ~

We started today at 4:15 a.m. to get the folks off to the airport. It has been a wonderful visit the last couple of weeks, and our first shared Thanksgiving with them for (too) many years. I have only a bit of photos to share, hopefully more to come. These are all purely candid shots... as if you couldn't tell....

The last of the hand sewing. I'm so thankful to Mom!

a close up...

Wedding Day is Here!

Wedding Day at our house! Lydia has her beautician fixing her hair in the dining room. Daddy (Larry) and PaPa (Gil grandad) have run for ice and trash bags. Grandma (Barb) is mixing the pasta salad after one last dusting of the house. Jerry (honorary uncle) is out sweeping sidewalks. Jeff is here already, playing a tune on the piano in the front room. He's dressed and ready. I ironed the linens, and said thanks to the family well-wishers that cannot be here. All is well. We are blessed!

More later....

Happy Days,

10/10/10, There's a Whole Lotta Projects Goin' On ~

Our daughter Lydia is getting married on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. We have been working towards the preparations...somehow it seems the "to do" list is never ending. There is progress being made, but oh, so much to go!

She has made bracelets, earrings and necklaces for her bridesmaids; it is a joint effort to get the zipper bags done for each of them as the gift bag...

...also, she added pearls and pearl buttons to their sweaters they are wearing during the wedding. The bottom bracelet is hers, it's not done yet...but it is so pretty!

This week, she has been turning buttons into boutonnieres for the guys. She has her bouquets done....

These aren't finished. Do you see the little purple "light saber?" Jeff loves Star Wars...!

On Saturday, Larry cut the slits in the wedding announcements, yes we made those, too, my Larry is a graphic artist by trade! Lydia and her matron of honor punched snowflakes, threaded ribbon, folded, addressed and stamped envelopes-whew!- for about ten hours!

And "the dress" is still in this state as I write this:

Still more to do, and this one's on Momma's list. . .Oh, yeah. That's me.

Her bridal shower is on Saturday. One day at a time, right? Breathe deep. . . !

Hope your days are productive!
Blessings,

My Lydia, A New Blogger!

I've shared a few of my daughter's creations over this year of blogging,
like pillowcases, towels,

table runners, little tictac gifts for her co-workers,

and a few purses, too.

Boy, when I looked back on all my posts, I realized she has so much creativity filling my pages! I've been encouraging her to start a blog, and, introducing... Lydibug Fluff!

Her first crafty post is featuring her "Do it Yourself" felt flowers for her wedding. I'm hoping to try to connect her to Amy's Sew and Tell Fridays. Come on, friends, make her feel welcome!

Happy Creating!
