In The Year 2020

This was Bonnie Hunter’s Hourglass challenge of 2017, I believe. It has waited in a box, backing was ordered from Connecting Threads, and then, more waiting was required🙄.
Just quilted and trimmed, I’m cutting the binding tonight.
I do not know why I feel the need to ‘age’ a Quilt. . . . Maybe to make it like a fine wine? LoL, not that I would know anything about wines😁. Now, vodka, my dear Brother in love Wayne, teases me about buying cheap vodka to make my “Moonshine Starch”. Yes, I do that🤣

Now, I have tried to post in the past few years, and it did not work. Let me see this time.  . . .
Happy Quilting, pokey

  1. Hi Pokey! So nice to see you again here. Such a pretty hourglass quilt! I saw your post in my feed reader (Feedly), but when I came here to comment, there's a big photobucket banner across the page. Don't know if you can see that too or it's just me. Anyway, just thought I'd pop in and say hello!

    1. Oh, hi my old friend! I have tried several times to add to this blog, so many years have passed, so many things have changed for us all.
No, I didn’t see the photo bucket banner, but I’m sure that’s just one of the odd things I will be dealing with. Thank you so much for saying hi! ❤️pokey

  3. Welcome back! I've wondered how you have been. Glad to hear you are still quilting. Your hourglass block is beautiful. I've been thinking of making some starch and even some vanilla from vodka but have never tried it yet. I haven't done much quilting lately. Can't seem to get my mojo going. My daughter took a trip to London several months ago and brought me back a pack of fabrics that look like English gardens. I have started a quilt with it but am moving slowly. If I ever get it finished she will get it tho. Hope you are doing well in this new normal we are experiencing.

    1. Hi, Lynda!
New normal isn’t looking like the old normal by any means, right? Your London prints sound divine, maybe you need to open them up and lay them out to find that mojo you are missing 😁
FYI, I have used my little pint of vodka to do both of those things, I feel so domesticated, LoL
Try it, kinda fun. Thanks for peeking in!

  4. Hi Stranger. It is a delight to see you back here. Lovely to see your quilt also.
I also have the banner showing across the page. But like everything, it will sort out.
Hope all is well with you. Cheers.

    1. Hello, Miz Karen, how are you? Yes, I hope to rejoin the blogging world, if nothing else but to keep track of what I’ve completed. Lots to update, if I can figure it out. Elsewise, it might have to wait until I do. Where’s a tekkie when you need one?

  5. It DID work........and so did you ! That's a wonderful accomplishment. SO MANY TRIANGLES ! I really like the way you made the green border go into the patchwork as well.
It's good to see a post from you ! Praise the LORD !
