Olivia, and April ~

What does April hold? Let's see, report cards, SAT's,

Grandma LOVES it, hope her DIL does, too....

Open House projects, plants from seeds, Parent Teacher conferences. . .

Easter break that hasn't happened yet, I'm s-o-o looking forward!)
Baby chicks in the incubator, model lighthouses. . .
Student books to bind, Jog-a-thon. . .

2 quilts done and one waiting for the frame,
stiff neck issues that have me in the dr's office;...
I'm sitting here wanting to post but it may not happen until this weekend,

no, wait, that other quilt is supposed to be done this weekend.
I'm not the only one that gets this way I'm sure.
I'm avoiding that"overwhelmed" label.

Truthfully, I'm mostly on top of things but then a minor health issue kinda waylays a person. I don't like to complain about health, I know lots of us are trying to grow older gracefully without all the grumbling, huh?

"
It just goes to show you, little Roseanne, Roseanna Dana, It's always something — if it ain’t one thing, it’s another."
Gilda Radner

Picture taken at school, on the tables with the kid's SAT booklets!

Oh, and I did 1, count 'em, one square for the Block Lotto.

Okay, there it is in a nutshell, sending out my love and the most recent photos. Hugs to all!

  5. Hey, Pokey, good to "hear" from you via your blog! Enjoy your little vaca! The quilt looks great. My mom used to say, "she/he always has an ass or an elbow." my husband doesn't get it but I love it! It means they always have a problem of some sort. I hope no one can ever say that about me. I hope your neck feels better soon! Ouch!

  6. I love the pink quilt and have to believe it's going to be loved and treasured by the lucky girl who receives it.

Your lotto block is cute ... and even if you never find the time nor inclination to make more this month, remember, it only takes one to win. Good luck!

  7. Okay......I'm gonna be the big sister here and tell you that the pain in the neck.....its a POKE (no pun intended Pokey :0)) to let you know you are doing too much. Take some time to smell the roses.....you have flowers there now right? (we are just getting rid of the last of our snow!)
Take it easy, enjoy the Spring break, get outside and enjoy the beauty of nature.
Go take a nice long walk with your Sweetie.

    Happy Sewing....with no deadlines :0)

  8. Wow. I need to sit down and rest just reading your blog today! You get to rest during Spring break but we are so much busier here during that time that I will be working from 7 to 7 for a few days.

  9. Your neck sounds painful. Not good timing with your agenda. I hope you get to feeling better soon.

Darn on not grumbling. Was walking with a friend tonight and we decided we like to whine about our aches and pains. We are tossing the aging gracefully idea. :)
