Almost a wordless Wednesday...just wanting to post progress ~
~ Now, I'm working on a pieced border,
because I had so many extra squares cut out ~
Thank you Elaine, for suggesting grid paper to work it out! I found free diagonal downloads here.
Hooray! Another day to sew!
"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, 'The just shall live by faith.'" Romans 1:16-17
Wow, that's so pretty! And I wish there were a Chik 'fila (sp?) near me because I would be right there to show MY support!!! My Sunday school teacher's daughter and son-in-law own a franchise in the south somewhere and they were doing quite well. I wonder NOW how it's going. Prayers!
ReplyDeleteYour grannies look great! I was going to do a pieced border but I'm not sure now if I am or not.
ReplyDeleteWow! Look at what you've accomplished!! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. Cheery. Can barely wait to see the border and to see the quilt quilted!
ReplyDeleteI really love how you've worked these up. The blocks are fantastic.
ReplyDeleteThese are great!!! I love the color combinations...We don't have a Chick Fil A--If we did I would take my entire family!!!
ReplyDeleteI just noticed your scripture line on the bottom of your post. I am going to have to figure out how to do that!
ReplyDeletePokey...those blocks are looking fabulous! And, your border is perfect! Yay for you!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful quilt your grannies are turning out to be... love it!
ReplyDeleteThe Grannies are making me happy! I love happy quilting and this is it!!!
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL QUILT! Good Idea On The Chick Fil A.
ReplyDeleteThis is one gorgeous quilt Pokey. I love the colours !
ReplyDeleteIts turning out lovely, can hardly wait to see it with the borders.
ReplyDeleteLove all you blocks and I think the border is going to look wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThis quilt is looking so good. What a great idea for the borders! Can't wait!
ReplyDeletehow many blocks are in your quilt?
ReplyDeleteI love the red that ties it all together. So pretty!!
ReplyDeleteWOW!!!!! This is a beauty - and the diagonal border is perfect! 8-))))
ReplyDeleteI forgot to say -- I DO wish there was a Chick-Fil-e near us - it's about time we publickly say what we want and don't let GOVERNMENT tell us what we like and don't like about a company. It's MY choice!
ReplyDeleteWay to go, Pokey! The quilt is going to be gorgeous. I just love quilts with lots of red in them - so bright and cheery.
ReplyDeleteWowee! Aren't you just the most productive Granny-maker ever! You've sure been burnin' that sewing machine! You put me to shame with my meager ten blocks. How many blocks in your quilt? I don't know how many blocks to make.
ReplyDeleteAs for Chick-fil-A, I'm glad to tell you I waited in the drive-up lane for 35 minutes before getting my order. Thought about parking and going in, but way more people were going in than coming out! When I paid for my order, I asked the cashier how many people were working. She told me, that half of their entire staff was there... about 24 employees. I'm happy for the way people stepped up to show support for the company. I read in our newspaper that even a vegan came in and made a purchase: gift cards for his friends! How cool is that!?
This is really NICE!!! Love the patriotic color scheme. No Chik=Filet's here, but I'll sure support them when I'm back in FL. Loved them before and even more now.
