Guess What I'm Doing ~

I have never joined in a "mystery quilt" before, but I do love Bonnie Hunter's idea of quilting. I've used and shared her Quiltville website, and always admired the many finishes shared there. So, here is week 2 of Easy Street Quilt Mystery, and yippee! I'm on track! I was pulled in by the colors and her promise of it not being too hard (but that is relative, lol)

Here is my quilt in a bag ~

Some of the 200+ 4 patches ~

Here are a few geese, in purples and dark blues ~

These teals and turquoise fat quarters were picked last night at the Sew and Sew in Glendora,

on our way to quilt class.  I had several pieces to pull from of the lime color, but I needed these :-}

The "bricks" are even ready!

Here's plans to stick to it!

Happy Quilting ~

  1. I am printing the instructions but not jumping in to participate yet. I still have a family member in the hospital so not a lot of time to sew. Your four patches and flying geese look great. I wonder what the next step will be?

  17. Ooo. I love your colors Pokey - black and white; purple; and turquoise/aqua. Wow. That's a sure-fire winner in my book! I've done one of Bonnie's before (it's still unfinished) and just can't seem to manage it when it's around Christmas, as it always is. I'm cheering for you to make it through to the end!
