Here is the second quilt, completed in time for Christmas. This one is for the oldest daughter (who turned 18 since her father's passing in September). Again, the quilt was made up from her Daddy's shirts, chosen by her for colors and/or memories of hers.
The first label was from the collar...
and the second from the buttonhole placket.
I hope you have a Merry Christmas. We are thankful for friends, family, and the love of the Lord!
"
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord." Luke 2

I am glad that Larry came home and that you got to enjoy Christmas. I think yours and my life seem to keep crossing as we spent Christmas eve in the ER with my daughter. She had an infection. Maybe 2012 will be a slower year!
ReplyDeleteI've been away from my computer for several days so have missed checking in on blogging friends. So glad Larry is home and feeling better. I don't think the hospital would be a fun place to spend Christmas day!
ReplyDeleteYour quilts turned out wonderful. Love the idea of using the collar for the label. The packaging was clever too.
Wishing you the very best for the New Year!
So glad Larry made it home for Christmas! That's the best gift of all!
