Did I Tell You I LOVE Red?

Ginny B. and I crawled into the car for a 120 mile ride, and we sure enjoyed the eye candy at the Temecula Quilt Company! For the month of October, red and white quilts are on display ~

These two photos were borrowed from the Temecula Quilt Company blog ~
As always, they have other fun projects, too ~

~and these came home with me ~

All those pretty reds make me want to pull these out again

Happy Friday, ya'll!

  1. Pokey...am green with envy here! I love that shop...only I've never been there. Love all the photos...and really love what you brought home for yourself! Glad you had a great day with your friend.

  3. Thanks for sharing these! I love the double 9-patch set with alternating blocks on the ladder on the right in the first picture and want to make one. Although I had a red and white gingham kitchen (complete with red/white gingham glassware and pots and pans) back in the 70's, there's not much red and white in my life now. However, I'm sorely tempted to make another red and white quilt. Were all the reds you saw solids, or did the quiltmakers also use prints?

  5. I love 2 color quilts and white as one of the colors always makes the other color more delightful. However, I made "I Love You" quilts in red and white for my 3 daughters. After washing them they were pink and red. Learned my lesson to use color catchers after that.

  7. Happy Friday to you Pokey.
It's cloudy, wet and cold here, and we haven't seen the sun for days, so your red and white brightened my day.
Looks as if you had a great day at the quilt shop.
    Have a good weekend.

  17. I was there about a year ago--it is a lovely shop but surprisingly small! It was about 200 miles for me but I was already going to Murrieta :) Love the red and white display and your blocks.

  19. Looks like a fun day. We spent some time in Temecula one time on a wine tour originating in San Diego. It felt like Tuscany, Italy to us {although I've never been there?}.

  24. Oh my Pokey, am I way behind on your blog or what?! It's been a crazy, hectic past couple of months and I'm ready to move on to a quieter month!

I LOVE this post!! This is gonna sound crazy to you hehe, but I've been laying in bed the last two nights and waking up in the middle of the night thinking about my bedroom. I want to make it red, brown, tan, cream. I adore these red quilts and they would be perfect for this room. Now I'm gonna have another sleepless night cause I'm gonna be thinking about these gorgeous quilts, lol!

I would say this was worth the 120 mile ride! =]
