It's March - !

At the Davis household, Larry and I share computer time. It works out great, unless he has a pressing freelance job. That's the case for the last three weeks. . . I'm spending a lot of time sewing!

I've been trying to work on a border for the Amy Butler project.

These are made from recent scraps, my poor table hasn't been cleared since January, lol

It's taken a few tries, and these practice pieces will probably work into a mug rug or two, or
something fun.

But all along, I REALLY wanted a Dresden Plate border.

I think I have the math part worked out on this size here. So, cutting is the next part. . . .

This print is my favorite of the bunch!

These disappearing four patches have proven fun too.

There are some for the Block Lotto exchange, and others were made because I shared the "how-to" at quilt class, and before you know it there were multiples. . . .

Lastly, there was this pillowcase for Brandon's birthday quilt. His birthday happens to be today! Hope it's a great one.

I'll say hi when I can, happy quilting!

  8. Oh, I love seeing the bright colors you're working with. That strippy template shape is really nice! And it looks like you're using a gray solid in a quilt. Is that right? What type/brand of solid to you like best? Seems there are several on the market now, and reasons for liking each. Would love to know your thoughts. I haven't invested in any solids yet, but I keep hearing that I should.
