led to this crumb sewing. . .
and the crumb piecing led to . . .
me dragging out the little flower pieces of fabric. . .
to do more crumb sewing (I have a bunch of floral prints!). . .
soon, it went to a LOT of crumbs in neat little rectangles & squares. . . .
Now, my work space is not so neat. . .
but Larry is mending well, and will be working half days this week...!
Oh, I won a purse pattern from Linda, and it came this past week! Thanks Linda, for letting me choose this cute pattern!
Hope you're enjoying your days ~
Happy Quilting,

"O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt His name together." Psalm 34:3
*this meets the "brown and green" goal of my "Ten in '10" commitment. I didn't reach them all, but there are quite a few completed. :-}
Pokey, I was just thinking about you, and lo and behold, your post popped up! So glad to see your hubby is doing so well - surprised he's back to work so soon, even if it is only part time! What a blessing! And I love the colors in your crumbles quilt at the top!
ReplyDeleteGood way to use some of that stash. Your work space is starting to look like mine. Larry looks like he is feeling a little better. I know it takes a little time to adjust after an illness so I'm glad they are letting him work 1/2 days. Congrats on your win. That is a cute pattern.
ReplyDeleteSo glad that your hubby is feeling better! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI'm thrilled that Larry is heading back to work already. Who'd have thought?! Praise our Jesus!
ReplyDeleteGood news re Larry..good health is everything isn't it?
ReplyDeleteI love the naming of bits and pieces as "crumbs". I'd not heard that before.
Love the "baby" quilt. I have crumbs all over the place right now so, this is a good example of uses.
Happy New Year
Love your crumbs! The same thing happens to me! Great to hear that Larry is on the mend.
ReplyDeleteThe green and brown combo is very pretty! That's the first time I've ever heard of 'crumb' sewing! I REALLY love all the scrappy colors!!!
ReplyDeleteI just love your crumbs....and so glad that Larry is mending well!
ReplyDeleteGlad Larry's feeling better. Hope working half days this week goes well.
ReplyDeleteI really love your floral crumb quilt. It's the sort of quilt I would have spent hours and hours looking at when I was a little kid (and undoubtedly still would).
Very appealing baby quilt too.
Good to hear Larry's coming along well. I sure like that floral crumb quilt. I've been looking at my large-scale florals and wondering what on earth I can do with them. Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteLarry looks great! I'm so glad he is on the mend.
ReplyDeleteYour crumb quilt is a great idea!! *writing this one down*
I have been watching to see how you and Larry are and how your Christmas was. It looks like all is well and getting back to normal! I am thankful for that. I love your quilts. You have been busy. I really am glad to see you both are doing well. Judy

Your crumb sewing is such a grand effort at using up! I'm very impressed. You go girl! And I'm glad to hear Larry is recovering. Reading looks like a healthy activity for him. Of course we want to see your purse pattern made up, when you get a chance. I'm so glad you won. Happy 2011!
ReplyDeleteyou were hovering over Larry and organizing those scraps into something, weren't you??!!! That is a LOT of florals. But the greens--love the greens and polka dots with brown.

ReplyDeleteGwen, what a great idea of using up all your stash. I love it. Have a Happy New Year! Steph
ReplyDeleteI love the green and browns that you started with! And isn't it funny how a project morphs to another, which spurs on a thought about something else and pretty soon you have lots going on not remotely related to where you started... I do it all the time :)
ReplyDeleteLarry sure is looking good. Glad he is able to go back to work. Love the Crumbs quilt idea. What a fun way to use up all these little dobs of leftover fabrics.
ReplyDeleteLooks like things are going well at your house now - so good to see that your husband is looking good and will be returning to work. Also there is a lot of fun sewing going on there! Happy New Year!!!! Carol
