And the math crunching calculations...yes, I got the pattern from the book, but I tend to make any project my own! This one will fit our queen bed.
We are dressing up the guest towels for the "company" bathroom. For twenty five years, we lived in homes with only one bathroom, it is wonderful to have another potty... er, powder room!
The pink flower is not attached, I just think Lydia's crochet talents are beautiful. . .
These are her latest pillowcase edges on her lovely sheets. . .
So, it'll be back to work, but it feels pretty good to have some things accomplished! We are waiting out the insurance on the car, it looks like they will fix it, but on their time.
Alrighty, then! As I said we need the car, (not a car payment).
On the giveaway front, here are a few to consider. . .

There is another new-to-me person, and she is a published author of (at least) two quilt books, and she is gonna give two of them away! Check out Gayle Bong's blog, and her new book,
"Twin Peaks" . It is getting great reviews. revised: we missed this one, but her blog and books look great, look on Amazon!

You did get a lot done! Love the towels. Glad to hear your car is fixable!
ReplyDeleteVacations go by in a hurry - my daughter was off the week before Easter and the time flew by for her. Your quilt is lovely and both fabrics would make great borders. Maybe a small strip of one and larger of the other. Pretty blues! Carol
ReplyDeleteI love the lace on the towels! Cute idea; I never come up with this stuff.
ReplyDeleteThe lace and edging are beautifully done!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering about the car...well if they fix it you'll have a car if they totaled it you'd have "some money" towards another car. Sounds like you hate car payments as much as we do......I'm hoping my 1997 toyota last another 10 years :0).
ReplyDeleteLove the blue quilt.....its going to be lovely and blue is my favorite color...so calming.
Sorry your break is over but looks like you had some fun at the machine :0).
Happy Sewing
I just love all the creativity flowing from your post today! Thank you for your kind words on my blog. I wanted to tell you that the designer who did my blog had her car stolen out of her driveway last week and she's been struggling with all that involves. I feel so bad for both of you! Take care!
ReplyDeleteI love the potential borders you have laid out - that quilt is sooo pretty! Looks familiar -I forget the name of the book I've seen a lot lately around blogland ;)
ReplyDeleteMaye next time I click around, you will have it done. ;)
Love from Texas! ~bonnie
