...seriously!
It is not a finish, but almost.
It needs border choices and quilting, but I am grinning silly.
It is this far completed,
and school starts in the morning.
My calculations: 2,525 pieces in all ~ ~Hooray!!
1/07/13 Edited to add: I noticed 6-! flipped 4 patches, I am fixing those tonight. Larry said to leave them...yeah, right! "Mr. Perfectionist" wouldn't leave a mistake in his work;
this isn't quilted yet, so yes, I'm fixing 'em :-}

ReplyDeleteIt is beautiful! Always love bright colors with black and white. I count every step a "finish". Finished cutting out. Finished a block, then a top, then the quilting, then the binding. Love finishes!
ReplyDeleteOh, Pokey, it's GORGEOUS! We two of the same black/white fabrics. Now, did you really have to count all those pieces before I'm through??? Eeek! I just finished Step 7. It is getting more and more fun as I go along. I just wish I loved my fabrics. But it's still exciting! You have been VERY busy on your winter break, you wild woman!
ReplyDeleteThat's a whole lotta bits to make a work of quilting art. It looks fabulous.

ReplyDeleteWow, girl, I am IMPRESSED. I saw a photo of someone else's quilt like this today, and got the idea that it was a wall-hanging sized project. You just blew me out of the water !
ReplyDeleteYou SHOULD be thrilled ! Congratulations !
Happy New Year, Pokey! I hope you have had a great start to your year. May the Lord richly bless you and yours!
ReplyDeleteI love that quilt - the colors are very soothing!!!
Oh my goodness! Is it beautiful or what?! Those black and white graphic prints are a great contrast with the lime and turquoise. It's definitely my kind of quilt. You did an great job in a short amount of time. I hope your return to school is good.
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is beautiful, as are all I've seen. Is it my imagination or are 2 4-patches turned? One in block 8 and one in block 11?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful job!
Loretta
Fantastic colors....great quilt!!
ReplyDeleteYou are an artist! to the bone. Thanks for sharing. We love you and keep the posts coming!
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful! And if you didn't fix those mistakes, they would always be the first thing you see every time you looked at the quilt! Amazing work with all those pieces!!
ReplyDeleteYou did it! it's sure pretty too! 2,500+ pieces? Good thing Bonnie's mysteries don't come with a piece count up front, like a jigsaw puzzle. I know I'd be daunted by that number!
ReplyDeletePokey, I love your quilt!!! I'm so behind but catching up. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteLOOKS GREAT!!! love the colors

ReplyDeleteComing back from a Siesta to find your work in class always gives me a wonderful boost and inspiration, nothing Easy about the work on your Easy Street quilt, only in that you make it seem easy. And THAT keeps me sane! One block at a time.. C:
